Christ, the Atonement

The cross is the satisfaction of God’s holiness, justice, and love. God determined that the atonement needed would be a blood sacrifice—the life of one given for another. The theme of Christ’s atonement runs throughout the Bible. This sermon looks at Christ’s atonement from God’s perspective, and then considers the perspective of the victim, Jesus Christ.
