Church Membership

Though there is no direct statement in the scriptures to have a membership in a local body, there are numerous verses that describe the church as a body made up of many members. The local expression of the church may be seen as a body of committed members, as most of the epistles are written to specific churches and indicate how they are to be organized and function effectively.
