How do we view sin? Are we as serious about victory over sin as Jesus is? Does He really mean that we should cut off a hand or remove and eye and throw them away? It needs to go further than just amputation. When will we do something about a known sin? It is costly and painful to be honest but it is beneficial. Do we excuse ourselves saying that it is a small infrequent sin? Do we excuse and overlook splinters?
We are as safe as our quiet time. What kind thoughts do I have? We need to be radical in our pursuit of holiness. What am I filling my time and my mind with? Make no provision for the flesh. Drive all sin out.
