Lessons From Abigail

As the wife of Nabal (whose name means folly), Abigail choose to act righteously to preserve her husband’s and men servant’s lives by interceding with future King David and his 400 men in a humble and submissive way. She took her husband’s sin upon herself and sought forgiveness from David while also gently admonishing David to allow the Lord to avenge the wrongs done to him.
