John begins his message with a short report of the three years he and his family spent in Accra, Ghana. He ends by explaining how in the Bible there are frequently two truths which seem to be almost opposite. They don’t contradict each other, though. They balance each other out. An example of this is when someone is trying to decide what to do for a living, or what to do in God’s kingdom. We are often encouraged to find our sweet spot, the things we are good at and enjoy. While there is a definitely a place for that, we need to be willing to give up the things we are good at, if God calls us to something else. He may want to show His glory through us by giving us the ability to do something that we can’t do on our own!
