In contrast to the feminist movements of the 20th century, Christian wives are to be in subjection to their own husbands, adorned with a meek and quiet spirit, and a right fear of God. Christian husbands are to honor their own wives by understanding their wives’ strengths and weaknesses, living as heirs together of eternal life.
