The Role of a Father in the Home

Fatherhood is a noble, blessed calling! As the high priest in the Old Testament carried the names of the twelve tribes of Israel on his shoulders, fathers bear the responsibility for their children. The high priest also carried each tribe close to his heart as a precious gem on the breastplate. This demonstrates the love and care a father should have for his child. God has given us all that we need for life and godliness, and this applies to fatherhood as much as any other area of life! God has given us what we need to “train our children up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord”.
