The Theology of Atonement

Because man fell into sin, he was separated from God. In order for man to be reconciled to God, an atonement is needed. Atonement means to made “at one.” Atonement is needed because God is holy and just. Atonement requires the shedding of blood. Jesus paid the ultimate price and became the atonement for us.
