Why did the Lord Jesus come? He came to fulfill and confirm God’s promises to the Jewish people, and to bring mercy to the Gentiles. All mankind has sinned; eternal damnation is our just sentence. Christ brought us His mercy; when we turn to Him, He redeems us to be His forever without turning back.
