What does the New Covenant say about the Old Covenant? The Old Covenant was weak, faulty, and unprofitable. It was like a shadow, and it is now disannulled. In the Old Covenant, God was really looking for obedience, because the blood of bulls and goats could never take away sin. Under the New Covenant, the blood of Jesus does take away sin and clear the conscience.
