The Gift of Peace

Jesus said, “Come unto Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” What an amazing invitation to a broken world! While this world can give a sort of peace, it’s more like a ceasefire or postponed anxiety than true peace. Jesus said in John 14 that He was giving the disciples peace, not like the world’s, but His own peace that He lived in while here on earth.
